It occurs to me as I sit in Northern Michigan uploading these photos over a dial up modem to the server in Texas that this blog of mine is getting heavy and may be a test of patience to those who have slower connections. Sorry. Here are three more photos to wait for.

Taken at Sturgeon Bay near Cross Village, Michigan.

Robinson Road in Emmet county Michigan.

Taken 20 steps away from the above photo. This old pump house was renovated when the farm was bought and turned into a fancy hay farm for horses. Rumor has it the owner has donated much of the land to the Little Traverse Land Conservancy.

Here are several self portraits of my grandma.

I love this one. I like thinking of my grandma setting up this shot of herself arranging roses and looking reflective.

My grandma sitting on her sister-in-law, my great aunt Ida's lap.

She prided herself as being a teacher who promoted creativity and fun learning. This photo certainly supports that.

Another class of hers.

As I mentioned earlier, she was a weaver. This is her with one of her hangings. Also notice her painting to the left which is one of my favorites and the bells on the dresser. She collected bells. At some point, she made a hanging out of some of the smaller bells. She used two wooden hoops and strung the bells up in descending spirals with green yarn. It hung from the ceiling and nearly reached the floor. I was fascinated by it when I was a kid all those different bells made all sorts of sounds. She had bells from all over India, Africa, Mexico...
