Frankies

Time and again, my old friend Travis associates himself with cool projects. Often they don't come to fruition, but when they do the result is always good. His current success story in progress: Frankies 457 Court Street Spuntino. Travis designed the identity and is managing the bar there. Frankie Falcinelli and Frankie Castronovo own and operate. A beautiful trattoria with excellent food, reviewed well by the Times last week. Prospects for them are good, it seems, and TK just moved into the neighborhood. The boy is dedicated.

J and I were regulars at frankies during her final weeks of pregnancy and Frankie F., boss and part-owner, asked us to name the twins frankie and frankie. I said yes, in exchange for a lifetime dinner credit. He didn't reply, but I want to use this forum to tell him: Frankie, it's not too late. Contact me if you still want to talk.

One thing about Travis though: he does move too much. Somebody make him stop.
