General Mills keeps marketing to kids

I posted earlier on how Kraft laid off marketing its sugariest foods to kids. Not so General Mills.

General Mills EVP Ken Powell: "We think that advertising cereal is a healthy thing to do."

Well, actually, an advertisement is only as healthy as the product it's pushing, whether drugs, cars, shoes or contact lenses. If the product is quality, the marketing's ok by me. To its credit, the company has apparently begun making all breakfast cereal from whole grains. However, it will keep marketing its sugarbomb snacks to children as well.
