daddy as monster. cape may, nj. taken 7/7/7
Maybe it's time I start writing here again. I'll start with: It's a cool morning in Beacon, the sunlight very bright despite the early hour. I have a mug of coffee, and the kids are on the couch in the next room watching cartoons (Dora: not my favorite). Bagels in the toaster. J still in bed, sleeping in a bit in advance of a four-hour shift as a kayak volunteer for Beacon's river swim event (a fundraiser for the River Pool project. She'll be part of a 70-boat crew making sure no one drowns.)
Today is my Grandma Marilyn's 80th birthday (happy birthday grandma!) For years we celebrated on Aug 4 (and still do, actually – I called her yesterday out of habit), but one of her kids saw her birth certificate recently and turns out she was born on the 5th. She was one of seven or nine kids (I know, I should know), and in a big family, dates are bound to get shuffled.
New things:
J got her portfolio site up: pasture.tv
I joined Facebook. Whatever.

Good work picking up with the blog again. I love seeing pictures of the kiddies and hearing about what's going on out east. Just winding up another busy summer here, and I can't wain until Labor Day. We're looking forward to seeing you all this fall. Take care.
